Harvesting and Planting

Happy 4th of July
With Arthur coming up the coast, I took advantage of the rain heading our way to do some harvesting and then new plantings this morning.  I finished harvesting the rest of the peas.  I have two lbs of frozen peas now in the freezer.  The yellow summer squash, cucumbers and early tomatoes are coming in now.  I also am finishing up the last of the broccoli heads and side shoots.

This morning I planted 6 Krim tomatoes.  These are dark, dark red tomatoes that are supposed to taste pretty good.  I found them at some store (can't remember which one), so I decided I might as well try and see if I can grow them.  They and kale went into the first bed that was previously occupied by peas.  The second bed has kholrabi and broccoli.  It might be a bit too early for the broccoli, but in the past, I planted them way too late in the season to get a fall crop.
