Moving On

While Nancy is in Ohio celebrating her mom's 95th birthday with 22 other family members, I continue to work on the updating projects here at the home front.  It sort of just dawned on me that I am actually doing two major renovations, the kitchen and the upstairs bathroom, neither of which are all that easy of an undertaking.  Meanwhile, the weather is starting to get nicer, with highs in the 60's (although still below freezing at night).  So, today I planted potatoes (red bliss and Yukon gold, peas and onions.  I had already planted some peas, spinach and radishes early last week.  So, this signals the beginning of the garden season as well.

Here are some photos of the work going on upstairs in the bathroom.
The toilet is going to be moved over to the right.  Not sure how that is going to be accomplished.
As you can see the drain pipe from the shower/tub is in the way.  Maybe the tub will be on the right and the Toilet on the left.
This is where the shower used to be (no tub)
This is where the sink and cabinet used to be....

The shower area, which may become to Toilet area.....

While all this is going on, our old and wonderful chocolate lab, Wyatt, has been enjoying himself outside, spending from 5-7 hours moving around the grassy areas as the sun changes.  I was very surprised when looking out the window I see him in the front yard

Amazing amount of work. Good thing you know HOW to do all this stuff. I can't imagine the cost for a contractor to do it - eeeks!
