Moving Along in the Garden

The 90º temperatures over the weekend didn't do any damage to the garden plants.  It helps we have a well and sprinkler system to keep things from drying out.

The vegetables are coming along and I have been able to keep up with the weeding for the most part.  Peas are beginning to flower, as are the Norland Red Potatoes.  All my cukes, tomatoes and bush beans are in the ground and growing as I type this.

Here are a few photos to show the progress.

Gooseberries that came from Mansfield

Peas, mostly snap peas, flowering

Norland Reds, Baby Bok Choy in second row from left, Yukon Gold and Kennebec

Picking off potato beetles has been a 3 times a day task, but the end result is that I have been able to control the number of beetles trying eat up the potato leaves, as was the case last year.
